Testing our new bike. Merida Big Nine 900.
Testing the new purchase of the Team. A 900 Merida Big Nine.
Will be good to ride and make kilometers without having to riding on the road.
Merida Merida Big Nine 900. This is one of the intermediate range 29er of the Brand. One of the best value for money that you can found on the market in this range of bikes. (approx. € 1,000)
The 29er bikes are made to roll … it’s harder to speed them up, but once you go up is a pleasure to pedal with her. By having larger wheels, you lose some agility in twisty corners, steps and similar things, but to do those things there are other bikes. This disadvantage becomes an advantage when the matter is to roll and to choose the way. The feeling is that the stones have been removed from the track. They are bikes that give you much more security down. You get the feeling that you’ll never go over the handlebar. For most people who just want to have fun, without complications, no doubt 29er.
Specifically highlight in the 900 Big Nine is that it’s very manageable. Very balanced in the assembly, with a fork Manitou tower, hard to find in this range of bikes. The only “bad” that I have found is that the handlebars from the factory is a bit “weird”; of course it’s a personal opinion. It would be great that in one bike the handlebar is the only thing you didn’t like.
We’ll see what it gives us in the winter ….. no excuses about the bike ….. as a friend saids, the best bike in the world is the one you have at home, so keep pedaling…
Greats.
