23 Trails. Squamish mtb.
One of the best events in Squamish is the 23 trails, this year on September 26th. Is not a race, is a different concept of riding. You can see the details here: 23 trails.
The organizers made a list of 23 trails in the Squamish area. In each trail was an “special point” where you had to take a ticket for a riffle. You could do the trails in the order you want and as many as you want. Every kind of Trails for every levels of riders, technical, fast, easy….The time to start was also open from 9:00 to 11:00. Is fun to see lots of riders in different ways. Some in your same way and others in a complety different direction.
We started at 9:15 whith a strong rainstorm. We had to start a little bit wet. We choose 3 of the most technical trails to start, Gouranga, In&Out and Dirk Diggler.
After these technical trails the weather was better and we could climb to other trails without rain. We did Middle-age crisis and Tazer.
In one of the hardest climbs Ainhoa broke her chain…too much power lol.
After Mad Hatter, we did the longer liaison to go to one of the most popular riding areas in Squamish; Quest University.
After the large liaison, Plum Smuggler and Your Mom. We did a little mistake and we down an extra trail, Deliverance ( and we had to climb again….)
To finish our day, two easy trails with Aimar, Cracked patella and Wonderland.
It was a long day 7:21 hours riding, 48,82 km and 2006 meters of climb.
So proud of my little daughter. She’s only thirteen yet..!!!
Amazing day. In the final riffle we were lucky and won a gift card..perfect!!
Next year we’ll try to ride more trails…
Un saludo a todos.
